We are now: Vincent Community Shed.

The Men’s Shed concept isn’t new, with over 1000 sheds already up and running Australia wide and more being funded and built, we are part of a strongly supported movement called “The Men’s Shed Movement”.

Vincent Community Shed is located in North Perth, Western Australia. We are an inclusive, community-based, non-profit and non-commercial organisation based around a woodworking and metal work shop, open to all members, male and female. Our major objectives are to advance social inclusion and assist the well-being of all members. Our primary activity is the provision of a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where members are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time. We predominantly work with timber but we have a small welding area and have a metal lathe.

The shed was opened as a City of Vincent initiative in 2013 as the Vincent Men’s Shed, we are located at 10 Farmer Street North Perth, next door to the North Perth Community Garden.  The shed transitioned to the Vincent Community Shed on January 1st 2024.
